"For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone.
The flowers
appear on the earth, the time of singing has
come, and the voice of the
turtledove is heard in our land."
(Song of Solomon 2:11-12)
This spring has been unusually beautiful, because the trees were full, and many different kinds bloomed at the same time, creating a spectacular array of color. I took so many pictures, it was hard to choose which ones to include.
"God creates the beauty. My camera and I are a witness." - (Mark Denman)

Flowers around town
"Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy!
The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon,
as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the
LORD will display his glory, the splendor of our God."
(Isaiah 35:2)
So many beautiful flowers around town. It was hard to decide which shots to pick for this post.

From the passenger side...
"For everything there is a season, and a time
for every purpose under heaven."
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)
It's not often that I get to enjoy the scenery from the passenger side of a car, so it's always a special treat when I do--even if the occasion is a bittersweet one.
These pictures were taken on our way to Staunton, VA, for the funeral of a long time friend. He had been a happy man who enjoyed a good life, so it seemed fitting that he be laid to rest on such a picture perfect day.
