Watching icy rain turn melting snow into very slippery slush made me extra grateful for my nice warm apartment. 



























































The plants on my windowsill must be happy too, because they seem to be thriving despite the cold outside.

An amazing makeover

When I walked into our local Giant supermarket a couple of days ago, I thought, for a moment, I had walked into a florist's by mistake. An amazing makeover had taken place. Valentine's Day gifts were interspersed among the groceries throughout the store, and even the produce stands near the doors had been converted into floral displays. Someone had been very creative.
