"When morning gilds the skies
my heart awakening cries:
May Jesus Christ be praised!"
(Old German hymn)
Though the trees blocked my view of the actual sun rising, I was able to enjoy the changing streaks of color in the sky. What surprised me was how similar some of these pictures look to the ones in my previous post (September 11 Sunset). Had they not been labeled, I would never believe they were taken at a different time of day and at a different location.
This was one of the ravens who live on the water tower. They were up even earlier than I was, and already flying back and forth
when I went out on the balcony.
Before going back inside, I took some pictures of what I thought was a bird sitting on the fence, but when I downloaded them to my computer, it turned out to be nothing more than some dry leaves caught in the wire.

September 11 Sunset
"Those who live at the ends of the earth stand
in awe of your wonders. From where the sun
rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy."
(Psalm 65:8 NLT)
My trip to Round Hill to take pictures of the sunset was a bit disappointing as I wasn't able to find a spot with an unobstructed view. However, I did still get to enjoy watching the changing colors in the sky.
