This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
(Psalm 118:24)
Perfect weather for a birthday/Father's Day poolside celebration.
Hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, followed by delectable blueberry lemon cupcakes and a
Boston cream pie.
And then it was time to open presents.

Unless the LORD builds the house, the
builders
labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over
the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

Joyful celebration
He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from the LORD.
(Proverbs 18:22)
Nine plus hours of travel time (ten plus for my daughter and son-in-law who went out of their way to pick me up and take me home), but we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, and it was fun catching up with family and friends we hadn't seen in years.
Destination--brother-in-law's wedding at Pier A Harbor House in Battery Park, Manhattan. Venue with a beautiful view overlooking the Hudson River.
Blessing of the bread and wine before the feast began.
Followed by lively dancing, cutting of the cake, and a delectable assortment of desserts.
Ready to head home after a very full day.
