Windy Spring 2016

Who has seen the wind?

 So far it's been a very windy spring, and there's even been mention of the "S" word in the forecast for this weekend. Hope all the beautiful leaves and flowers don't get blown away or killed by the frost. I was happy to have taken these shots around town to remember a beautiful spring by just in case.

Orange moon rising

"There is one glory of the sun, and another glory
of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for

When an excited friend called to ask if I'd seen the moon, I grabbed both cameras, ran to my balcony, and took dozens of shots.  Sadly, none of them did justice to the amazing sight of a full orange moon emerging from behind the trees, but these were the best of the lot.

Celebrating five years

Today is this blog's fifth anniversary, and to celebrate, I'm posting pictures of some lovely flowers I saw at Costco.  Enjoy!

As I snapped away, an elderly gentleman approached me and joked about how much cheaper it was to take pictures of flowers than it is to buy them.  I agreed, adding that they last a lot longer too.

A colorful bouquet

A friend arrived for lunch with a bouquet of very colorful flowers.  We speculated about how they had gotten their hues, and our guess was later confirmed when the water they were standing in turned pink.
