shall be for the sign of the covenant
between me and the earth."
(Genesis 9:13)
A couple of days ago I went to visit a friend in Martinsburg, WV. It took me an hour to get there. On the way home, however, I was so captivated by the scenery and the cloud formations that I kept stopping and pulling over to take pictures.
At first the sky looked threatening.
Then it started to clear.
I saw some pretty West Virginia trees still wearing their spring colors.
Then the sky clouded over again and it started to rain, and I discovered that I had missed my exit and gotten so turned around by my frequent stops that I was now lost and had no idea where I was.
As I sat in my car wondering which road to take, the clouds parted and a rainbow appeared.
I decided to turn around and go back the way I had come, and eventually I found the turn I had missed.
Almost three hours later, I was driving into town, but before going home, I made two more stops to capture these shots of the setting sun.
